| Senior State Tournament Update - Tuesday, July 26, 2011It has been a long several days for the CRLL Senior All Stars. The Championship game was moved from Sunday to Monday due to Rain. On Monday just before the game was to begin, another torrential rain storm hit Camp Verde High School. This led organizers to send both teams home and they begin looking for another venue between Scottsdale and Marana to play the game. It is anticipated that it may be on Tuesday or Wednesday we will keep you informed. |

| CRLL Seniors heading to the Championship Game - Saturday, July 23, 2011Continental Ranch Little League Seniors moved one step closer to the Arizona State Championships with an 8-4 win over Sunnyside Little League. Graham Spraker pitched another great game giving up only 1 earned run and once again KT Vieux closed out the final 1-1/3 innings. CRLL bats were hot starting with a triple by Garrett Lawley to bring in their first run in the 2nd inning. Key hits followed in the subsequent innings by Patrick Moyle, Cody Stone, Matt Lindsey and Brandon Martinez. None of those hits were as big as a solo home run in the top of the 7th by Eli Callahan to break a 4-4 tie. The Championship game will be held Sunday at 10AM in Camp Verde. |
| Senior State Tournament 7-21-11 update - Friday, July 22, 2011
Continental Ranch prevailed in their second game of the Arizona State Senior Little League Tournament in Camp Verde Thursday night. Mario Pacheco and Joseph Valdez shared the mound for a 16-6 win over a young and determined Rio Rico team. Valdez, the team’s youngest player, went 3-3 at the plate and pitched 3 solid innings including a clutch 8 pitch 3 up 3 down inning in the 5th. The team had 16 hits over 6 innings including 2 booming doubles by Eli Callahan. Next up in the Winners Bracket for Continental Ranch is Sunnyside who beat Mountain View Little League (Scottsdale) 10-0 in an earlier game. Game time for CRLL vs. Sunnyside is 8PM Friday 7/22/11 at Camp Verde High School. |
| Senior Baseball wins first State Championship game 10-0 - Tuesday, July 19, 2011
CRLL Senior Baseball team won their first game in the Arizona State Championship game 10-0 over a very good Yuma (District 9) team. Two CRLL Pitchers combined for a no-hitter. Graham Spraker started the game and pitched into the 5th inning before being replaced due to Pitch count by KT Vieux. KT got the last out in the 5th and finished the game in the 6th and 7th. The game was 2-0 until the 5th inning when Spraker hit a 2 run triple to the gap in left center to extend it to 4-0. He later scored on a passed ball to make the score 5-0. CRLL scored 3 more in the 6th and 2 in the 7th. Their next game is at Camp Verde High School, Thursday 7/21/2011 at 8PM vs. Rio Rico from District 8. |
